Articulated bogies or not - that is a pretty impressive looking demonstration!
The problem we saw was much more humble - an M7 running bunker first passing a Mk1 - they clear but not by much!
Not sure what era Trevor is modelling but it does sound like the kind of place where Duchesses might be passing 70' 12-wheel diners at a closing speed of about 140MPH!
But if he is doing a later period, APT-E plus prototype HST ....
Perhaps such questions are best asked at this stage...
