Hi,

I've recently added a range of Finescale Metal Insulated Tiebars for scales/gauges 2mm scale to 7mm scale, to my range of products, you can see a picture of the 0 Gauge version here. Finescale Tiebars 0 Gauge

Borg-Rail 0 Gauge Stretcher Bars (Manufacturer's Photo)

From: http://www.borg-rail.com

Advantage over any other version of using copperclad
1) Copperclad moving tiebars are too rigid and may eventually break the soldered joint
2) Copperclad moving tiebars which use some sort of pin pivot can eventually fail due to the pivot wearing through the tiebar.

Advantage over other scale tiebars
1) Being metal they are easy to connect to underboard point motors, a simple loop is all that is usually needed.
2) tiebar will deform rather than snap or break, but is rigid enough to operate blades.
3) Easy to alter to your exact standards.(within reason of course!)

Hi Stephen,

There seem to be problems with your web site, so I have added your product picture directly to your message via the Image Gallery.

I've also added a link to your site (which you omitted).

You also omitted to sign your message.

There are some problems with your web site for those with screens set to 120dpi, due to incorrect use of absolute positioning. Users of Firefox should zoom out one step (CTRL+MINUS) to see it correctly.

regards,

Martin.

Hi,
Web site server was perhaps down for maintenance, if so, exactly the same can be seen on http://www.borg-rail.com

I assumed that I didn't have to add my name as the from panel would have sufficed.

I am aware of the problems of absolute positioning but haven't had the time to improve matters, my main computer screen is set to 1152x864 32bit if that helps

Stephen

1 Fixed
2 Don't understand why it did that but I've altered it now.
3 Clicking on the photo always worked though!

Borg-Rail wrote: 2 Don't understand why it did that but I've altered it now.Hi Stephen,

It's because you have overlapping blocks with absolute positioning. One block was obscuring part of the other and capturing the mouse messages.

Why not use HTML tables instead for simple non-dynamic pages like this? Tables may be old-hat but they work every time, are ultra-reliable on all browsers and dpi settings, and are very easy to code.

regards,

Martin.

True but as I'd somehow managed to lose the link it has at least reminded me to sort that out.

I am probably not the first to tell you that it is "unfixed" again.

The tie bars look like being worth a trial...  Any chance that you could post a new working link ( and perhaps edit the u/s ones out)

regards

Les G

Well it looks like it works for me now. I just wonder if the server was down at the time. What I was referring to was the link on my website. You can view all the images there in one go.

Just to make it easier here is the Link and if that doesn't work try this link instead.

Stephen

I think it's a Zymic thing - if you actually type in the link address it seems to work but not always if you click the link. I've altered the link to the other website, seems to work OK to me.

Don't know why I haven't seen this before but the answer is you can have both, though I usually use AMBIS these days.
