Hi Martin,

This well be a "driving error" on my part rather than a flaw...

When I changed from "side" run to "end" run to print out some trial templates for Singleton I find I don't get full coverage of the layout, with a significant number of pages absent - any suggestions?

many thanks for any suggestions

Also, I will need to change my computer in the near future - is it possible to transfer TEMPLOT across to the new machine.

best wishes

Richard

ps the box file is reasonably similar to the one I uploaded.

Hi Richard,

You can't print more than 33 x 26 pages in a single print run, i.e. a maximum of 858 pages in one go.

If that doesn't cover your entire track plan, you can:

1. Use a larger paper size, or

2. Move the page origin (SHIFT+CTRL+F10) to cover the area you want, or

3. Use multiple print runs. After printing the first 33 x 26 block of pages, click the print > page orientation/origin > multiple print runs > menu items, and start printing again.

Also, I will need to change my computer in the near future - is it possible to transfer TEMPLOT across to the new machine.
Just email me when the time comes.

regards,

Martin.

Hi Richard.
I am not totally sure what your query is, but Templot will only print out pages that contain track. This can be an issue where there are background shapes such as maps which you want included. The trick in this instance is to use a dummy template reduced to a centre line only to make pages visible to the print routine. Not sure if this is what you are trying to do.
Tony.

Hi Martin,

many thanks - that answered my query...

Hi Tony,

I understand the point you are making and will try to remember the "trick" if I need to print out some "non- track" areas in the future

best wishes

Richard

Hi (again!) Martin and Tony,

In the foreground you can see the templates (from the multiple run!) with the back ground added - I've been printing theses out and sticking on a sheet of lining paper to see that everything fits together and will fit in.

The layout is planned to swing in a curve to the (open) door in the background with (hidden) 3' curves at either end.

You get to see how large things really are by this exercise!

Now to get building!
