Hi Martin.
I think this time I have found a genuine bug in the TDV. I created a diamond crossing in EM and when I chose Real > Timbering > Half-diamond timbering > Timbering as model, I get this. 0.91c used to alter the timbering to suit the rails. I can't imagine it is a new feature. Also I have noticed that when I print a diamond with a slip road that the tips of the switch blades are not marked whereas turnout ones are.

Hi Tony,

Yes, I think we can agree that's a bug. :)  Thanks for reporting it. :thumb:

Fixed in the next TDV update:

Wrong:

xdpb:=seg_termx[2,2]-g*SIN(hdk/2)/2+4*inscale;

Right:

xdpb:=seg_termx[3,2]-g*SIN(hdk/2)/2+4*inscale;

This bug has been there from the start, but was benign in the old generator up to 091c. The changes for irregular diamonds exposed it.

Also I have noticed that when I print a diamond with a slip road that the tips of the switch blades are not marked whereas turnout ones are.
The marks are underneath the timber. To correct it, and for the neatest result when using partial templates, always have the switch as the higher template number so that it gets generated after the underlying template. You can rearrange the template order in the storage box, or simply delete the switch to the control and then store it again. You can see and test the difference by swapping to the sketchboard in detail mode.

regards,

Martin.

HI Martin
I will try it tomorrow. That would explain why sometimes the marks appear and sometimes not.
Thanks, something to beware of.

Tony.

Hi Martin.
Yep, absolutely correct. As I normally sort out the diamond timbers last, the switches invariably wind up on the bottom of the pile, hence the problem. I shall know in future and hopefully so will others now.
Thanks for solving that one.
Tony.
