Just finished (I think!!!) my 1st complete layout design with Templot. I have on ever designed single turnouts before. If anybody has any spare time could they look over it to see if it is OK and if there is any improvements that could be made.

Regards

Alan

Alan,

Not too shabby. You need to have a look at the interlaced point though as the wing rails at the first crossing vee seem to be quite a way from the Vee. You also have part of a rail missing on the left hand turnout road.
I'd change the V4 points at the top of the plan though, a 14" radius isn't brilliant !

Thanks for the comments Ian. Added missing rail. I found the short wing rail, I have increased it but it will not allow me to increase to the length I need. This is not a great issue as I can add the correct lenght when building. The point at the top is a med peco point which leads into a fiddle yard (I just the size point that came up when starting.

Alan,

I've just had a quick play with your plan. Tidied the interlaced point up and reduced your box file count too.

HI Alan.
Agree with the above comments, also the timbering of the third crossing needs adjusting as the A chair at the crossing nose needs to cover more of the timber to match the other two.
Tony.
