A few months back I posted a boxfile showing my proposed layout Staircliffe Junction. Since then the Junction has gone, to make room for a locomotive servicing facility and give better access to the down line sidings. Although the junction has disappeared, it will still be an important influence behind how the railway is operated.

Anyway, enough of my waffling. Attached you'll find the latest incarnation of the track plan, and you'll see that I've added a diamond crossover to make entry and egress from the sidings easier, effectively increasing the operating capacity of the layout.

The problem I have, is that I'm not totally happy that the arrangement of the diamond crossover is geometrically correct or even lined up as accurately as it should be,and I still haven't got my head around the complexities of constructing a diamond crossover, so this is an appeal for help to iron out the bugs and missing elements of the arrangement.

So if anyone out here would like to take a look and correct any errors or add any missing elements I would be most grateful. Thanking you in anticipation,

Dave

Hi Dave

This is what I got when I opened the box file, I don't think this correct, as I can't see a diamond although a duplicate half diamond shows up in the box file list.

Sorry about that. I have now attached the correct file.

Hi David

I have had a little tweak on your scissors crossing and put the diamond in. it requires tiding up, the altering of wing and check rails will be easier using TDV.

Cheers Phil
