Has anyone created a box file for US practice turnouts? Proto:87, :48, :64 or whatever will do - not Peco - just exact scale.

If so, I'd be pleased to have a copy - would save reinventing the wheel!

Hi Simon,

Sure, see:  http://db.templot.info/index.php?action=view&view=entry&entryid=5

There are in standard H0, but because the gauge:scale ratio is unchanged they should convert to Proto87 easily. (Group them, then convert group button on the gauge list dialog).

The #5 US turnout is used in the "working with substitution radius" video at:

 topic 12

regards,

Martin.

After Martin incorporates my N year old request for US FB to be single-click represented, you are next in line!

Andy http://www.proto87.com

PS I think Martin has done some, but you'll find actually AAR accurate templates on http://www.prototrains.com/turnout/turnout.html

Note the tie spacings are varied. I already make stainless steel templates and Jigs for those- see my site.
