Hi Martin I have produced a rectangle in sketchboard which I now wish to delete, unfortunately when I push the delete button nothing is happening, except to de-select it. Is this my fault or a flaw?38_150941_220000000.png Cheers Phil PS. The promised metric calculator menu in options appears to have failed, I refer to message message ref: 12057 |

Hi Phil, Have you inadvertently ticked the no delete option? Select the item and then click the modify item tab: 2_151300_370000000.png I'm not sure what you mean by the calculator menu item having failed? I can see the calculator in your screenshot. The menu item is at options > metric/scale calculator (CTRL+L). Does the delete work if you close the calculator first? regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin I must have inadvertently ticked the box although I can't remember doing it. As for the calculator I got it up as per the instructions which you gave me in this thread topic 1845 The calculator is only a minor inconvenience. Cheers Phil |

It should show in front of the sketchboard (or hide) when you click the menu item: 2_151517_440000000.png It seems to be working fine. regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin My apologies, I have not used the Sketchboard since that original request and when I had the Sketchboard Control Panel open I looked for the calculator there rather than the options menu on Sketchboard itself, must be getting old and senile or at the very least rusty. sorry again. Phil |

Hi Phil, My apologies too. I have only just twigged that the word "options" is used both on the menus and on the control panel tabs. I have now changed the latter to "settings" to avoid confusion: 2_160634_450000000.png This is where not having yet written the Help notes for the sketchboard is such an advantage. If I had done so, I would now have to go through them and make numerous edits, and remake all the screenshots. That's the reason I have always held off doing a lot of work on the docs -- I have never been sure things were sufficiently fixed. I don't know the answer to that, but it can't go on forever. Many thanks for drawing my attention to this. regards, Martin. |
