Everytime I start up templot, it seems to have forgotten the custom gauge settings I put in on the previous session. Is there something I am missing? Do I have to instruct it to save my changes to the gauge settings?

Custom settings are saved in the template not in the programme itself.

That feels like a bug to me. I would like to be able to program in my custom gauge once, and be able to choose it for all my layouts, rather than having to type it in every time.

Hi Julia,

The idea is to store your custom settings in a library template, and add the file containing it to your storage box when you want to use those settings. You then copy the library template to the control template, and off you go.

This way of working allows you to create an infinite variety of custom settings, and choose whichever you want at any time, without having to type in anything again. You can put all your library templates in one .box file, or have a separate file for each one.

You can add the contents of as many files as you wish to the storage box at any time.

regards,

Martin.

Presumably this is what the new start.box could be used for?
