If you have used Group > mouse action: Shift or rotate group is there any way to undo this if you have made a mistake. The back arrow key just undoes the last actions on the current template - not what you have just done on the group. Thanks Arthur |

There are several ways round that if you are not sure and just want to try something, but they all require some pre-planning: 1. Before you start do save group to a file. You could call it temp_group.box and re-use it each time. Then if the shift/rotate results are not what you wanted, you can delete the group and add the original templates back from the file. I will look at trying to automate that so that you don't need to remember in advance. or 2. Before you start put the notch under one of the templates, but don't link the group to the notch. If the shift/rotate results are not what you want, put the notch under the same template again, but this time do link the group to the notch. Then using geometry > notch > cycle recent notch locations (SHIFT+F7), repeatedly if necessary, you can return the notch to its previous position(s) and take the group back with it. or 3. Before you start do duplicate group. Then shift/rotate the new duplicated group templates. If you are happy with the result, delete the original templates. If not, delete the new group. regards, Martin. |

Thanks Martin I am doing a lot of what-ifs at the moment, so will probably use the duplicate group method, but have noted all three for future reference. Best wishes Arthur |
