Hi folks I am a newbie as you can see. I model tt 1.120 gauge i have never been able to buy the correct radius curved points two or three way,so i tried to build a two way curved point direct on my board I have had limited success but working with just one axle and flat steel gauge i have problems trying to line every thing up the only gauge i have been able to find is from Pilze the rail manufacturer i think this conforms to the NMRA standards but i am not sure and had no one to ask the gauge is 12 mm the rail and is code 80 and is 2.02mm high and flat bottem rail and is.80mm across the rail top looks to be the same as Peco N gauge use The reason i have got interested in Templot is to be able to make templates that should make it easier for me to make my own points, however the first problem i have noticed is Templot is stating bullhead rail ware my track is FB i could not see ware i could change this to FB rail Does this matter? if so is their a way to change templot to flat bottom rail any help would be very much appreciated thanks Derek Turner |

dlt65 wrote:is their a way to change Templot to flat bottom rail?Hi Derek, Welcome to Templot Club. To change to FB rails, click the real > rails > head and foot (flat-bottom rails) menu item: 2_230617_330000000.png To get usable results you need to set the foot width to match the model rail section which you are using. Click the real > rails > rail section data... menu item as above. You won't see any change on the screen, but when printed your templates will show the rail foot lines, like this. This makes the templates much easier to use with FB rail because you can align the rail foot over them: 2_090505_030000000.png regards, Martin. |
