As I was saying, some great track pictures get posted on the web, without any mention of the track in the caption. This picture of Liverpool Exchange in 1954 has just been posted on RMweb: liverpoolexchange1954-1.jpg Note the abbreviated check rail in the centre foreground. I think the diagonal track in the left foreground is straight as far as the K-crossings, so this picture would make an excellent gimping exercise (see: Gimping a turnout for Bob).
