Hi Martin,
When we go into the print dialog box (the one where you can choose to omit certain pages), would it be possible to include 'change origin' (or even better, 'move templates within page' - which would only work while in the print dialog box) as an item within the print dialog box.

The reason is that I often just want to print part of the selected templates (for example, the crossing area - as I solder that up, before assembling the rest of the point) and it is quite lengthy going:
- print dialog.
- I then notice that the crossing is on a page join.  Better to move it to the page centre.
- close print dialog.  Open 'change origin' dialog
- change origin.
- go back to 'print dialog'
- I then realise that I moved the templates the wrong way (the page moves, not the template, so you increase the offset to move the template to the left), or I did not move it enough, or too much.
- go round the loop again........
Obviously not an urgent change, but possibly one for the future, when you have time.
Thanks and best wishes
Arthur

Hi Arthur

What I do in those circumstances is to have the paper the page lines for printer switched on. I then delete to the control the template I want to print and then save it which then produces a copy of it, I then use F7 to move it into a blank page, then use print the control template.

I'm sure there's probably an easier and quicker method that Martin will tell us about, but the above method works for me.

Cheers Phil

Hi Arthur,

You can set the page origin to wherever you want it on the trackpad before going to the print dialog. First turn on the page outlines for the printer:

The page origin shows as a small purple square. The page outlines are dotted lines in purple. They correspond to the red trim margins on the printed templates. You can change the purple colour on the menu above if they are difficult to see against the blue.

Then use the SHIFT+CTRL+F10 mouse action to move the first page around until it neatly encloses the area which you want to print:

I have made you a bit of Jing video showing that mouse action in use (it may take a few seconds to load):

Finally, on the print dialog click the button to print page a1 and then omit all remaining pages.

regards,

Martin.
