Hi Martin, As a matter of interest, can you/we use GIF animation in the Templot Club screen/ messages ? I have attached a sample file of such an animation, that I cooked up. They may be quite good for demonstrating simple operations of the track-work. I should first try opening it in Internet Explorer and watch the animation, then see if it works in Templot club. You can also use HTML to view the item. All the best, Brian. |

Hi Brian, There is no problem with animated GIFs. The problem with that one is that it is far too wide -- 1351 pixels! To upload them as attachments keep them under 1200 pixels wide so that they appear directly in the message. But it is much better to upload them to the image gallery, like this: 2_281646_210000000.gif Keep them under 932 x 700 pixels for this, so that they don't get resized. Upload them using the "drawings, screenshots" option. You can then have several in a message, interwoven with the text. This one is from the F7 snapping demo: http://www.templot.com/martweb/f7_snap_demo.htm regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin, Thanks for the speedy reply. Sorry about the size of the images, I didn't think. I had done this little animation for someone else a few weeks ago, and wondered if we could use such an item. I may do more when I need to demonstrate some of the Templot operations for others. If and when I need to apply such an item, I will, in future, remember the image size limitation. All the best, Brian. |

Hi Brian, The 800 x 600 resizing has been in place for 7 years. Now that most users have screens 1200+ wide, I have just upped the resizing to 932 x 700 pixels. Thanks for nudging me to do that. If you do need to upload a larger animation, display the original size version in the gallery. Then right-click on it to get the URL, and post it using img BBcode tags. regards, Martin. |
