There aren't any templates for Peco or any other brand-name track There are many other, more suitable programs available if you wish to use Peco track for your layout. Many of these include features allowing you to position and size your baseboards. Off the top of my head, I can name AnyRail and XTrackCad, as two such programs which seem like they will meet your needs far better than Templot. Templot is created to facilitate accurate track planning for the purposes of making hand-make trackwork. Regards, Tim Lyth |

They are not really intended to be used. There were created mainly to illustrate the full customizing options in Templot. Also, they were created for an older version of Templot. If you load them in Templot2 please disregard the control template showing, and copy from the background templates only. As Tim says, if you intend to plan a layout using Peco track you have come to the wrong program. Templot is intended for handbuilt track. If you are looking for a program with which to design a model railway using Peco track or similar, I recommend David Hoogvorst's AnyRail program instead: http://www.anyrail.com Could you clarify what you mean about the baseboard? Any background shape can be deleted by selecting it in the list and clicking the delete shape button. The selected shape shows in a brighter red on the trackpad. regards, Martin. |

You can accurately size and position baseboard background shapes by inputting the co-ordinates when you first draw them. Cheers Phil |

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies. I think you are correct that I have chosen the wrong programme for my requirements. Your programme is far too sophisticated for my simple needs so I shall try those others you have suggested. Many thanks for your help & suggestions. Chris |
