Hi All,I have just downloaded Templot2 and when I go to open the the program it comes up with the first page I click connect and the the second connecting screen pops up and just sits there for hours not doing anything. Is there something I am not aware of here blocking me off? I am Connected the internet the entire time. I am running windows 7 and have AVG 2014 anti-virus Which didnt inhibit the download and doesnt detect anything harmful. RegardsRand |

Hi Rand, Welcome to Templot Club. Your anti-virus program may include a firewall. You may need to give permission for the templot_2.exe program to access the internet -- see your anti-virus settings or help files. An alternative would be to disable your anti-virus/firewall while starting Templot. If still no joy, try clicking on the Templot desktop icon with the right mouse button, and then "Run As Administrator". I'm sorry you are having problems. There have been over 2,000 downloads of Templot since July and only a handful of reported problems. regards, Martin. |

p.s. Rand, Some notes about the AVG Firewall here: http://www.avg.com/gb-en/faq.num-5205 You may need to turn off the "Automatic Mode" in order to see the permissions dialog. Martin. |

Rand, I've just been there and got that t-shirt- wondering why I couldn't get it to work on my win8 laptop (worked fine on win7 desktop). I have the misfortune of running norton (for another 25 days and counting) and that is what happened to me. I did something very unusual for me and switched off norton just whilst I started Templot and it worked fine. Just make sure you switch it back on straight after you've loaded- Templot maybe OK, but other nasties out there. |
