Hi

I will be building a layout which I have got a track plan, almost done. But I also want to build first a test track for me to check  locos on. It really needs to have points the same as Peco ones. Is there a template on here that is the same as a Peco 7mm point.
I do not want to use Peco as the test track will also be for testing out my track building and scenery etc.

Thanks Peter

Hi Peter,

Welcome to Templot Club. :)

There is a download file for templates matching the Peco 0 Gauge turnouts in this 4-year-old topic:

  topic 722 - message 5690

They are for GOG-F (32mm gauge), matching Peco track.

I understand from your RMweb topic that you are intending to use 0-MF (31.5mm), so these won't be an exact match.

I'm a bit puzzled why you want these? Geometrically they are distorted in order to use the same V-crossing base mouldings for both hands.

For handbuilt track you would do much better with an ordinary A-7 turnout. Below is Peco upper, A-7 in 0-MF lower:

Martin.

Thanks that will be of great use.
It is just to test the locos I build for sale will run through Peco points. I may well do the test track in 32mm. My layout will be 31.5 throughout, and either A6 or B6

I want to build the test track not only as a test piece for my locos but as a test for my track building and scenery.
Peter
