I've just printed out several templates so that I can play around with lengths of track to help form a judgement about a track plan at full size.

I have created a S7 gauge B7 LH GWR turnout and printed out two copies using the same sequence of selections (I think) within Templot. The first printed with orange rails, the second with blue rails! Have I done something wrong/different or is this likely to be a feature of my HP Officejet printer. Any thoughts? Anyone else seen similar behaviour?

Dave

Hi Dave,

Orange rails is the control template.

Blue rails are background templates.

You can select which you want when printing from the output or print-now! menus.

Note that the control template will print even if it is hidden on the trackpad (screen). You probably have it still over the background template.

p.s. you may think they are orange and blue, but actually they are "rust" and "steel". :)

regards,

Martin.

Simples!

Thanks very much for the explanation. I have printed out about 25 templates of different formations and they are a mixture of the two colours. I've never understood why, but to print two consecutively in the two different colours demanded an answer!

Cheers

Dave
