Hi,
I've tried to search for this but no luck so far. Is there a way of producing a list of all (or some) of the templates in my box file which includes the specifications of things like turnouts?
I can find a way to list all the templates but that just shows the number, name and type. For things like turnouts the specs (type, radius, angle etc) would be useful to create a shopping list for track parts, kits etc.
Many thanks
David

Hi David,

On the storage box window, if you click the box > show cumulative box data menu item, you can see the total length of the templates and the total length of timbering.

"Timbering" means the total length of pointwork timbers and plain track sleepers combined.

For all the template info, click the box > print all template info • PDF > menu items.

You can choose whether to print a (long) list or create a PDF file.

regards,

Martin.

Hi Martin,
I've just about finished with my revised N gauge version and I went to print out some details. I used the box>cumulative data option and it pretty much contains everything I need EXCEPT it would be really useful if this list could include the length of plain track items - in terms of lengths of track needed to build it.

It would be a great shopping list for the layout - any chance of an enhancement request?

Thanks

David

Hi David,

You can already do that. :)

On the trackpad, click the group > create smaller group > group all plain track templates menu item.

Then on the storage box, click the box > show cumulative box data menu item to show the total group length.

But note that this is for plain track templates only, not the plain track part(s) of any turnout templates. For a complete total you would need to split the approach track and exit track parts (if any) from all turnout templates. Sorry there isn't a global function to do that, each one must be done separately.

However, if you subtract the group length from the total length, and a typical turnout length allowance for all the turnouts, you would have an approximation for the total approach and exit track lengths.

regards,

Martin.
