On the sketchboard, trackpad template rail when zoomed in appears as two thick parallel black lines with a rust-colored fill between them. Is the rail head edge located at the outside edge of the black lines, at the middle of the black lines, or at the boundary between the black line and rust-colored fill? I'm trying to match details of the template with a file imported into the sketchboard. I need to work in the sketchboard because of zoom limitations on the imported file in the trackpad. Thanks, Dave |

If you mean when showing sketchboard items on the trackpad, you can overcome that (at the expense of a very slow zoom response) by going to the settings tab on the sketchboard control panel, and untick the option for: limit trackpad zoom-in when using display-quality rendering. If you mean when using a background picture shape on the trackpad, you can get additional zoom-in if you don't set the image transparent. For the lines marking the rail edges, the actual edge is indicated by the centre of the line. In diagram mode, the line indicates the gauge-face of the rail. If you want to measure accurately from the rail edges in the output, click the output > line thickness > thin lines menu option on the trackpad. Likewise if you want to measure accurately, you need to be in detail mode and not diagram mode for the output. To change, go to the trackplan tab on the sketchboard control panel, untick the option for: in diagram mode, and click the update now button. Or change the setting in the output > output mode options > menu options. This is what thin lines in detail mode look like on the sketchboard. Is this what you are seeing? 2_011138_350000000.png For very accurate work you may prefer to import a DXF file into the background shapes. If you post here the actual imported file and explain what you are trying to do with it, I may be able to suggest other options. regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin, Thank you! The hints on unticking the "limit trackpad zoom-in", thin lines, and detail mode did the trick. I was seeing on the sketchboard what you showed except the color was a rust-like color and the total width of each rail was about 0.4 mm. Thanks again for a wonderful program! Regards, Dave |
