Hi,Just tried to download an update but halfway through the anti virus kicked in and blocked the download. When I tried to open the program via the shortcut on the desktop the pc was unable to find the shortcut. Does this mean I will have to perform a new download and will all my previous track plans have been deleted?
Regards
Robin

I doubt very much your files will be gone. I've used Templot through various of the newer versions and have never lost a thing. You can always find your TEMPLOT_DEV folder and see what's in the BOX folder if you're worried.
Regarding the anti virus. Can't you turn it off for a bit? Which make of anti virus do you use?

Hi Robin,

Did your anti-virus block it while you were downloading the file, or installing the update?

Did you let Templot do the update automatically, or download it yourself?

If Templot won't start from the icon on the desktop, click the Windows Start button, and then type:

run Templot

in the Search box.

Templot 214a should start up, and then it will download and install the update.

regards,

Martin.

Hiya,
I was installing the update which was started when I clicked on the update box.The icon has disappeared. When I try and run Templot an error message 'Windows cannot find templot' appears.I have looked in add or remove programs and templot is still there but can't open it without the icon.
Regards
Robin

Hi Martin. I found the icon in the Recycle bin and restored it to the desktop. However, it appeared as a grey & blue box. I then reduced the Bullguard antivirus setting and downloaded on the link you sent to David. All back to normal. Nothing lost-very happy.
Regards
Robin
