Hi Martin

Would it be possible to have adjustable start and ends to the Trackbed Edges as there is with the Platforms.

Many Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil,

Yes, that should be possible. I will have a look at doing it. Thanks for the suggestion. :)

It would also be useful for turnouts off the main line to a siding or loop. Thanks

Click the ? help button on there for detailed info.

Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Hi Phil,

They do in detail mode. On the sketchboard control panel, trackplan tab, untick the in diagram mode tickbox, and then click update now button. Assuming you have trackbed edges set on the templates, of course.

I will look at adding the trackbed edges in diagram mode. If you just want a coloured area behind the track in diagram mode, have a look at add track background.

regards,

Martin.

Thanks Martin,

It would be handy in diagram mode.

Hi Phil,

It will be in the next program update.   Now in update 217a.

New option here:

This option will apply in diagram mode for all outputs -- print, PDF, image file exports, sketchboard.

But only of course for templates which have had their trackbed edges switched on at geometry > trackbed edges ... menu item.

This is the result on the sketchboard:

If you wanted a coloured fill between the trackbed edges on the sketchboard, that would be a lot of additional coding which I'm leaving for now. However, if all templates have trackbed edges, and all the same width, and the track is central between the edges, you can get a similar effect using the existing track background function:

cheers,

Martin.
