Having little success in working with Templot I had a track plan prepared by a professional trackmaker which was successfully downloaded and printed off on my printer. I have not used the files for some time but recently when I attempted to open them I got a panel appearing which read templot_ 215b_...exe 6.88 MB. A continuing series of panels appear and a message appears which reads "Access violation at address 00117A6 in module TEMPLOT.2.EXE Read od address 00000168" I have downloaded the latest version of Templot after having deleted my original version in case it had become infected, and attempted to import a new file prepared by the same person but with the same result. I cannot understand why after being able to successfully open up and print off files this happening. This is complete Double Dutch to me and I wondered if anyone else has had this problem and if there is any damage to my computer and if there is a cure. John Lee |

Hi John, Thanks for posting your file. It opens fine here, so I have re-saved it below for you to try -- which should have eliminated any quirks in the file. If that doesn't work, I can only suggest that there was a problem with the installation of Templot 215b. Please restart Windows, and then download and install Templot again. Download from: http://templot.com/downloads/download.htm regards, Martin. |

John Lee wrote:Still having problems downloading Templot 215b.Hi John, Please can you explain the problem? What is the exact wording of any messages you see? Which version of Windows are you using? Do you have an anti-virus program? Which one? Have you had any problems downloading and installing other software? regards, Martin. |

For what it's worth I downloaded the original file, after updating to 215b and it loaded fine - no problems. Windows and Trend anti-virus didn't like the 215b file but that's because of its lack of digital certificate. regards Alan |

Hello Martin and Alan I have now had time to reload Templot 215b which was satisfactory and then opened up 'Chewton Mendip again' from a memory stick with no problems and have been able to have a look at the plan. Everything seems now to be working and I can only assume the old version had somehow got corrupted. Thank for your interest and assistance with my problem. regards John Still having problems downloading Templot 215b.Hi John, |
