Hi Martin

Opening Sketchboard from the top line menus "Sketchboard" "Reload from file" nothing happens. No problem from "sketch" on the top toolbar, so not a big deal.

But if you click on "show Sketchboard" from the topline menu it does open the usual box with the sketchboard options to reload, make new, etc..

Stuart

Hi Phil,

Many thanks for finding that.

It is nothing to do with the latest update, so I have moved it to a separate topic.

It turns out that those top two items on the sketchboard menu have never worked, going right back to the introduction of the sketchboard in the Templot2 Development Version in 2010.

For the simple reason that having added the menu items to the menu, I completely forgot to provide any click code for them!

Which means it has taken 7 years for anyone to notice, and you get the prize (if there was one). :)

I've been worried recently that I forget things and make more mistakes in the code than I used to do. It seems the rot set in some time ago. :(

I will get it fixed in the next program update.

There are quite a few other menu items which don't yet do anything, where I still haven't written the relevant help notes. But I do actually know about those.

Thanks again,

Martin.

Hi Martin,

I usually use the other Sketchboard menu, but it was not as prominent as it was, hence my first use of the other menu option.

Thanks

Phil

Hi Phil,

Sorry about that. Something had to give, to get the 1-line toolbar within the common 1920 screen width (at the default medium program size).

cheers,

Martin.

Martin,

No need to be sorry, we are very grateful for what you have given us, most of this is icing on the cake, the most important part of your brilliant programme is being able too produce flowing trackwork with custom switches and crossings inline with prototype practice anything above and beyond that is a bonus.

Many thanks

Phil.
