I'm trying to find the image that this message is refering to.  Whatever it is appears to be slowing down my PC which was a reasonable spec gaming PC 4 years ago.  When I don't load the sketchboard file it flies along even though there are 240 templates!

Is there a way of starting with item 1 in the sketchboard file and moving through them to find the offending item?

Hi Richard,

What happens when you click OK? Do any other messages appear?

It should reduce to 5% size and keep doing so each time you click OK.

Eventually it should appear on the sketchboard and you should then know which one it is.

However, that's all deep in Nils's original code and it makes my head hurt to read it. :(

Sorry, there is no way to step through the list of sketchboard items, it's one of the things on my to-do list.

If you can post the SK9 sketchboard file here, I will see if I can find the problem. If the file is too big to post here (14MB), please email it to me. You can find my email address by clicking on my name on the left and looking in my Profile.

cheers,

Martin.

The message usually comes up twice.  It first started to happen after I started showing background shapes on the sketchboard.  At one time the background did have a big jpeg, but I realised it was slowing things down so I stopped using it.

I've tried loading the sk9 file without the trackplan but couldn't see anything unexpected, so here it is.

Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard,

Thanks for the file. It created the same errors here.

I found two very large corrupted rectangles in there. After removing them, the file seems to load ok -- attached below.

All of which is a bit puzzling, because that was clearly nothing to do with image bitmaps (the trigger for that error message) -- the change has reduced the file size by only 3KB. I need to spend some more time to figure out what may have happened, but in the meantime hopefully this file below will be ok.

Do your background shapes contain any very large rectangles? If so they are probably not showing on the trackpad. Perhaps you could post your BGS file here so that I can compare it with the problem SK9 file. Thanks.

cheers,

Martin.

Thanks Martin, that's better.  The background shapes does contain a large scanned transparent map and the garage rectangle.

Thinking about it, the error message first came when I changed the map to transparent.
