I have a couple of places with a double main line (50mm centres) and a single refuge loop (70mm centre). They are presently connected by a couple of B-8 crossovers which I would like to change to the more usual turnout-single slip-turnout combination. From reading your messages it seems there is a trade off on the model between turnout crossing & size (the flatter and longer the better) and the acuteness of the (regular) diamond (the sharper the better). In 4mm 00-SF where do you see the happy mean? I'm thinking of B-7 turnouts with a #6 single slip. Would anyone forsee any problems with this? Best Regards Peter |
