This may not be a flaw, other than possibly in my (mis-)understanding.
From a thread last October I got the impression that the selected trackpad colour scheme was being retained in the saved preferences - initially in a "scruff update", but I assumed incorporated into the later full updates.  I'm currently using 225d but the trackpad scheme isn't being saved with my other preferences.  Have I perhaps inadvertently stopped this being saved?

Kind regards,
Stuart

It should be working. However, I see that I have introduced a bug in the code. If after choosing a scheme you go to this dialog again:

and then cancel it, the previously chosen setting won't change, but it will be removed from the preferences setting, reverting to the sky-blue default in the preferences. I will get this fixed.

The work-around is to choose the same scheme again.

A few things to note:

1. this works only if you choose a specific colour scheme using the dialog above. It doesn't work if you set a specific scheme or change the individual colours in the trackpad menu. I will get this changed.

2. it works only if your monitor is set for what Windows used to call "Hi-Color" depth. Templot still has separate settings for the indexed palette colours used on some old CRT monitors (not flat-screen).

3. obviously you must be saving your program preferences. In other words you see this on startup:

and click GO using my preferences.

4. the colours don't change immediately on start-up, but only after Templot is up and running normally.

If all the above applies ok, perhaps you could attach your preferences file here. It is called prefs.sk1 and you can find it in your C:\TEMPLOT_DEV\ folder.

cheers,

Martin.

Thanks for the comprehensive answer, Martin.
I have followed your advice, and the saved colour scheme now appears as soon as I select Trackpad from the main program panel.  I always use the "Go using preferences" option   - in fact I can't recall when I last used "Go"!
Hopefully my prefs file is attached....

Again, many thanks.
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Thanks for the file. I can see that you are using the "bright night" colour scheme, and hopefully it is now starting up ok.

For the next program update I'm going to change it so that the individual colours are saved separately, which will save and restore any trackpad colour customizing done in the trackpad menu.

I should have done it that way in the first place. :)

cheers,

Martin.
