A helpful question ....
Hello friends! please forgive me if i do not write where i need to, maybe i did not find the appropriate topic ... but i am a beginner with Templot-software which i am very happy with!
You can tell me how to do that when i modified a line (track) and I want it to remain fixed i just know to click on the icon 2 orange arrows ( foto atachments).... in which case i copy and duplicate the line (track)  and if i come back and make a change again ... there are many lines (trak) that i then have to discover and delete ...
Can you give me some advice in this regard ... ???
Sorry for writing but I don't know English and i use Google translate ...
Thanks !

Hi,

It is a frequent problem that beginners create many unintended duplicated templates. Over the years I have tried to find ways round this, without much success. When the basic working method of Templot has been grasped they don't happen so often, or not at all if you are working carefully.

This page explains the basic working of Templot, and how to avoid duplicated templates:

 http://templot.com/companion/basic_working_methods.php

It's written in English, I'm sorry I don't know how well it translates to other languages. Ask again if anything is unclear.

The problem is that duplicated templates are a necessary part of the process when working with partial templates to create complex track formations, so the working method must allow them.

cheers,

Martin.
