Currently I'm plugging along, honing my track-building skills for the 40th time. I'm building a small fiddle yard for starters but using ply sleepers and plastic chairs. I've bought a few common crossing chair sets via the EMGS but I don't have a reference for where they all go.
I've seen a plan with them marked on but don't know where it was from. Does anyone have a link to the information? I can identify some of the bits but not enough to be confident.
Any help gratefully received

Hi Ian,

Detailed chairing diagrams here:

 http://exactoscale.com/track-components/chair-positions/

Click the blue links below each image to download a high-resolution vector PDF file.

The PDFs are excellent and can be zoomed a long way to see full detail of the chairs.

cheers,

Martin.

Ian

Not only do I have these guides but also I was able to copy the plans for their turnout plans as the special chairs were designed for them. There are a couple of positions where the ones Martin has shown you differs either from these or the more detailed plans from the kits

The guide for a 1-5 in the Y chair position shows S1 & L1, where as the turnout plan shows 2 L1's

On the sprue there is a centre section of the D chair but no outers, but 2 x 7C outers (I guess this has been incorrectly marked. The guide shows 7Y position as 2 x L1's.

Some od the centre chairs need 0.5mm strips under them, namely in the X position, as in the kits there is a metal spacer under them

If you are using the common crossing chairs do use the switch chairs, there are a few other areas of modification due to places of where prefabrication are
