Hi Martin and folks It's been nearly a year since I joined Templot, and over that time I've been, on and off, thinking about what layout (if any) to make. I've mostly made steam locos in my 13 years of P4 modelling, and a few turnouts, for the club to which I belong (the West Scotland 4mm Group). Over this year I have more or less retired, and have in the last few days alighted on a plan to make an MPD scene for the 7 locos I have made (with more to come.) It is actually Kyle of Lochalsh, but the locality will be moved elsewhere in Scotland, to a fictitious location, as few of my ex-CR my locos would have worked there even in BR days (my period). However I'm planning to make an exact model of the shed location, it will be about 6 foot by 1 and a half, so hopefully achievable, with storage arrangements for passing trains yet to be thought out. Anyway that preamble is pretty irrelevant to my question, now that I'm grappling with fitting turnouts onto the map that I've managed to get onto the background. Is there a back button? I keep making stupid errors, and cannot find a simple way of undoing them. Sorry if this is the most banal question. I'm not at all computer savvy though after several hours on this task am getting slightly more into practice, but keep hitting the same problem. Cheers Julian |

Julian Roberts wrote:Is there a back button? I keep making stupid errors, and cannot find a simple way of undoing themHi Julian, If you mean changes to the control template, you can undo them, or redo them, by clicking the blue arrows at the top of the trackpad: 2_221253_590000000.png They repeat if held down, so you can go to and fro and round and round. There are 80 slots in the rollback register. Instead of clicking the buttons, you can also go to and fro by holding down SHIFT+CTRL keys and rolling the mouse wheel. The blue dot button zooms the trackpad to the control template, or press the SPACE bar. If you mean you stored the control template on the background by mistake, you can remove it by clicking on it, and then delete (or press D) on its menu which appears on the left. If you mean you deleted a background template by mistake, you can get it back by clicking the program > undo deleted template menu item, or by pressing CTRL+Z. If you find so many different methods confusing, it helps to understand that Templot is really two different programs at once. More explanation about this here: http://templot.com/companion/origins_intent.php cheers, Martin. |
