Martin I am about to upgrade my PC and have some recollection that Templot doesn't run well with certain processors. Is this still the case? I am considering a Dell with an AMD Sempron processor Many thanks Tim |

Reports are mixed, so I think there may be a motherboard jumper or BIOS setting involved. The VIA processors are intended for "silent" living-room computer/audio-visual systems. As far as I know, all AMD and Intel processors are fine for Templot. If there was any problem running Templot on AMD Sempron I'm sure I would have heard about it by now. Obviously I can't buy every computer on the market to test Templot, so I can't say with absolute cast-iron certainty. I can say that Templot is fine on AMD Athlon, Duron and Turion, because it's running on those here. regards, Martin. |

Tim, Templot runs fine on my system using an AMD 64 processor, so I don't see any potential problem with a Sempron. I can't speak for Dell and how they build systems (and what they load on to them) because mine is home built.
