I get lots of spam, and the strangest requests. But this is a new one.

I'm very sorry, but I won't be able to supply 20 km of 15kv underground cable by tomorrow morning. It's nearly 11pm and I'm just boiling an egg for my supper.

Dear Sir,

We would like to ask you urgently for your best offer regarding 20Km of 3x240 mm² 15Kv underground cable. ( if it is possible tomorrow morning )

All you had to do was require an immediate 33% deposit of the necessary funds to your Cayman Islands bank. I'm sure we could have come up with the wire between us.

The day has hardly begun and already I have had my first spam email from the far east offering me a lorry load of limestone. There will be more before the day is out.

Am I being naive? Is a "lorry load of limestone" a euphemism for something else? Google thinks only that it means a load of limestone. :?

Martin.
