Please forgive the OT subject, but I know that there are a number of Thunderbird 'experts' here. Since purchasing a new CPU for used as my email/Internet computer, when I print out emails I get a page of unwanted data as well. These start off with 'X-Account Key' and go through a list of 30+ headings, finishing with 'Content-Type'. Clearly, I have to switch something off, but what? Can anyone advise please? Regards Brian Lewis |

If you can search around in your help files under the subject "Headers" you might find a setting where you can turn them on/off. Jim. |

Brian's right. Go to View/Headers and select Normal instead of All. Nigel |

From Thunderbird FAQ Printing messages without full headers From MozillaZine Knowledge Base To view messages without the full headers, go to the "View" menu and select "Headers -> Normal". This will display messages with only minimal headers. The viewing mode that you have selected should apply when you print messages as well. To print a message without any headers at all (only the message body), right-click on the message and select "Edit As New..." (or go to the "Message" menu and select "Edit Message As New..."). The message will open in a new window. If you print it from there, it should come out with no headers at all. If you see HTML tables in the message appear with altered formatting (awkward red borders), don't worry, it will still come out ok on the printed page. Thunderbird support (which is very good) can be found here http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/ Bruce Wilson Barrie, Ontario |

Brilliant Jim. Just one click and it has been solved. I just wish I was more instinctive about computers. (Comes of spending a lifetime in mechanical engineering I suppose). Anything you feed some grade of oil into to make it perform, is good. Electricity? Pah! It will never catch on.... Thanks again. |
