Using 0.91.c on Windows XP. The spacing ring is very useful, but has a very minor flaw. "tools | Spacing Ring" should be "tools | Spacing Ring ..." as it opens a new window. Howard |

Howard wrote: "tools | Spacing Ring" should be "tools | Spacing Ring ..." as it opens a new window.Hi Howard, I use the ellipsis (three dots) in Templot to signify that user keyboard input will be required. It's also a good indication on the menus of where to find help information about something, because the data-entry dialog often has both F1 general help, and F2 help texts on each line. For the spacing-ring function, user input is optional -- I'm not sure that simply opening a new window is sufficient reason for an ellipsis. But I'd be the first to admit that I haven't been very consistent about this, in fact tidying up all the menus and buttons in this regard is on my to-do list. Often the problem is that there isn't actually room on a button for an extra 3 dots. regards, Martin. |
