Before plunging in at the deep end and trying to draw it up on Templot (in 4mm '00' D0GA Fine) , can anyone help me try and understand what the arrangement and prototypical layout of this trailing connection to the Goods Yard at Auldbar Road on the Arbroath and Forfar would have looked like (prior to it being remodelled)? See this topic on RMweb http://www.rmweb.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=88&t=40862 Many thanks Bob Reid |

I've fortunately managed to track down a good clear photo of this turnout, which it appears has a single blade catch point to protect the main line from each road - in this arrangement; Question is how can you create this in Templot? - I can see how it can be done by physically "tweaking" a normal turnout to insert the two additional blades however I'd much rather it was done as a proper template. It's in 00-D0GAF - double '00' gauge fine. Many thanks, Bob Reid | ||

Hi Bob Have a look at my post about Notch in Templot Talk. This was started as I wanted GW turnout with a single tongue catch point in each of the 2 turnout roads. I hope this helps Cheers Phil |
