One thing which I would find really useful would be the ability to switch OFF the snap feature for the entire workspace like in AutoCAD, Rhino, etc. This would allow you to line things up roughly by eye and produce a quick sketch plan to test an idea before producing a propper plan.

Hi Jonathan,

Untick the action > F7 snap options > snap on background templates menu option.

You can also hold down the SHIFT key while doing F7 to prevent snapping.

Thanks, that seems to have worked at least it has allowed me to achieve what I have been trying to do for the last two evenings.

Currently planning a possible model of the Corckle incline - the last cable worked incline the the UK closed in the mid 1980's the .box file is the point formation just after the hump - three tracks into two with a common center running rail.
