This four-way turnout served Dorchester (GWR) goods shed in the early 1900s. The shed had two tracks through it. It seems that the rails were ex-BG/MG bridge rails on longitudinal baulks. | ||

Just caught this, rather late I know, but that is a lovely turnout. I'm a bit confused about the GWR as I thought that Dorchester was an LSWR station? |

There were (still are?) two stations in Dorchester - South and West. I'll leave working out which is which as an exercise for the reader .... Peter |

It is Dorchester West Dorchester South was the LSWR station with some very eccentric operating proceedures. John |
