.... so that I can use Templot attached to any PC and not just my own, to which it is registered. This arose from my PC throwing a wobbly and only booting in safe mode, under which 091c wouldn't play! I backed up the Templot directory to the external HD and tried to run it attached to my wife's portable - no dice as it detected a different machine. Is it possible to register the program to a particular hard drive rather than the PC hardware? Thanks. Phil PS I appreciate that when you started this Martin, external hard drives were science fiction. |

Hi Phil, Yes, you can install Templot on a portable drive or USB memory stick and use it on any computer. However, you will need a separate lock-release code for each computer on which you wish to use it. It may be better to install Templot normally on each computer and simply keep your data files on a USB memory stick or external drive. That way you won't need to keep entering the lock-release code(s). Please email me. regards, Martin. |
