Are you tired of Tunnel Junction or Town Central as your project title? Here's how to change it.

The project title is also the title of your storage box. So first open the storage box by clicking the control > storage box menu item.

Then on the storage box menus click the edit > box title... menu item. See the screen-shot below.

A dialog then appears on which you can change the title to whatever you want. Do this after reloading your box data file, not before. Then save a new file containing the new title.

Martin.

Hi Joe,

The only difference for 091c is that the control menu is renamed main. Open the storage box by clicking the main > storage box... menu item.

Martin.

Its just a bit of a pain that if you've already saved the templates in a box file then change the project title, saving the templates again doesn't use the new project title for the filename.

Hi Richard,

??? :?

Working ok here. Save as town_central_.....  .box

Change the title to "Bridge Junction".

Now saves as bridge_junction_.....  .box

If it's not working for you, can you provide a bit more detail?

regards,

Martin.

"Garage Shelf Project" saved OK; change to "Garage Shelf Project v2"; still wants to save without "v2". Same with the background shapes as well.

Version o.91c on Windows XP.

Ah - that's the file name length limitation, not the fact that it hasn't picked up a change of project title. (Not the overall file length, just the name part).  I've been caught by that myself.

Hi Richard,

Ah. Templot uses only the first 20 characters of the title in creating the file name. That leaves room to add the date and time without creating an excessively long file name.

So if you make a change it needs to be in the first 20 characters, or use a shorter title, or manually edit the file name.

Try "Garage Shelf v2" or "Garage Project v2" or "Shelf Project v2" or "v2 Garage Shelf Project" or similar.

regards,

Martin.
