Hi Martin

I found that I can modify shapes but when I try to move them (mouse action > move), the shape is highlighted briefly then resets. It is therefore not posible to move the shape.

I am using the previous version of templot to carry this out so not a great problem at this time.

Cheers

Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for the report.

I haven't been able to reproduce this here. Are you using the action > mouse actions: shapes > menu items, or clicking the buttons on the background shapes dialog window?

What do you mean by "highlighted briefly then resets"? Can you describe the exact sequence of clicks and what you see happening? Thanks.

In testing this I have found a bug related to an incorrect mouse pointer, so thanks for that. :thumb:

regards,

Martin.

Hi Martin,

Sorry for the delay in replying.

Action>Mouse Action>Shift shape works fine.

When the shape if selected in the Background Shapes dialog, the shape becomes brightened to show it has been selected (normal function in this and previous versions of Templot. When the pushbutton to 'Shift' the shape is selected, it goes back to being the same illumination as the other background shapes. I hope this makes sense.

Hi Martin,

I have just installed Templot2 on my new PC which is running Windows 7 (64bit) and my workshop PC which is an older AMD Athlon (running Win XP service pack 3), both run the program fine except for when I import my trackplan (bitmap) it comes out a lovely shade of royal Blue!.. (it should be White with Black rails etc?).. I can still see the plan but it is rather difficult because it is quite dark, I have tried altering the background shapes colours but to no avail.. I know its probably something simple (probably the operator!!..) but any idea's?

I have the original TDV on another PC which is also Win XP SP3 with no such problems so was wondering if it is a problem unique to Templot2?..

Cheers

Brian

Hi Brian,

Sorry about that.

This is a known issue which has been fixed for the next Templot2 update.

Open your bitmap in a graphics editor, increase the colour depth to 8-bit, and then save it again in PNG format.

Then reload it into the picture shape.

regards,

Martin.
