When I try to use the jotter with the latest edition of Templot 2 I see either nothing or a flash of the jotter screen and then nothing. Has something changed or am I being typically thick, possibly having missed a previous thread? Advice would be appreciated as I often used the jotter as a measuring aid. Thanks Dave |

Dave The jotter isn't something I've ever used, but I've just tried and and can confirm that you're not being thick - I see exactly the same as you, or not, as the case may be In the meantime, you could use the ruler as a measuring aid. tools => ruler => show ruler then there are various options for moving the ends around. Martin - what I have seen is that the jotter window is visible if I use Alt-Tab to scroll though all the open windows, but it won't stay to the front - probably a dead easy fix! |

Thanks Paul. I'd wondered whether I'd got a problem with my laptop. The ruler is good just not quite what I needed. C'est la vie regards Dave |

Sorry Dave, This is the same problem as the sketchboard controls in 205c. It was caused by some changes I made in the splash startup. The jotter is there, but it's underneath the trackpad. Click Restore Down on the trackpad window, drag it to one side, and then press CTRL+J. Re-arrange your screen so that you can see both. I will get this fixed asap. regards, Martin. |

p.s. Dave, If you only want the jotter for the measurement readouts, there are similar ones on the spacing rings dialog -- tools > spacing rings • dummy vehicle. |
