Here is an example type 2 curved scissors crossover.

EM gauge

6ft-6in way  (46.67mm centres)

outer radius 3000mm.

B-7.5 turnouts.

type 2 means the crossing entry straights have been extended to put the diamond V-crossings clear of the turnout curves. The diamond then becomes an ordinary regular-pattern diamond-crossing.

diamond created by pegging crossover roads onto CESP (on a curved scissors this is better than using the branch track function).

File attached below.

To see the partial templates, hold down the SHIFT key (or put CAPS LOCK on) and run the mouse over the template name labels.

Full tutorial to follow.

regards,

Martin.

Hi Martin,
The box file has been downloaded several times but no-one has yet given any feedback about it. I for one would like to say thanks very much for this.
I have been pondering over a problem with a courved double slip where there isn't really enough room for the blade tips to move. I keep comming back to look at this and though it would probably take up more space and require a redesign of the surrounding section of track, I think it would be a better solution to my problem. And I should be able to make a better, neater job of building it.
So, once again, thanks very much for this.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks.

The reason no-one has yet replied is that they are waiting for the tutorial about it which I promised Mark. :)

See:  http://85a.co.uk/forum/view_topic.php?id=2165&forum_id=22#p14427

It's not forgotten Mark, I just seem to be accumulating more and more half-finished stuff these days.

regards,

Martin.
