I've read on here before it's not possible to run Templot on a Mac, but would it be possible to run it on a Mac using Parallels software? This can apparently run all Windows reliant programs, but would I also have to install windows as well to run Templot?

I'm really fed up with Windows software, my Compaq running Windows 7 has become so slow it's almost unusable, and I really can't get to grips with Windows 10, hence the change to Apple Mac.

Hi Roy,

Lots of Templot users are running Templot on a Mac. There are 3 ways of doing it, see:

 http://templot.com/companion/index.html?basic_qa.htm

Unfortunately you have just missed a special offer on CrossOver, see:

 topic 2735 - message 19205

Sorry I know next to nothing about Macs, but others here will be happy to help. Winebottler is free, but it seems can produce some confusing error messages. CrossOver apparently works fine, and there is a free trial period.

On a Linux system it is dead easy. Click to install Wine (free) and off you go.

regards,

Martin.

quick question if I may please...I'm running Templot on a Mac using Cross Over but cannot work out how to insert track. On Windows machines one simply presses the "insert" key but the Mac doesn't have one! Probably a simple answer...

Tarik

Hi Tarik,

Press the NOT SIGN key instead. That's this one ¬ at the top left, next to the 1 key.

Or CTRL+V keys.

Or click the tool button having two orange down arrows.

Or click the program > store & background menu item.

regards,

Martin.
