Hi
Bit strange for me to ask a question

I have a trackplan with shapes for the baseboards, when it is in the sketchboard the shapes baseboard outlines show up and are clear, if then I go to create a pdf, jpg, etc the track lines are clear but you can hardly see the board outlines.
I have the shapes set to thick lines but that doesn't seem to make any difference
I have attach pdf to show what I mean

Hi Geoff,

You have probably set the line thickness for the trackpad (screen), on the background shapes dialog.

For all output formats, including the sketchboard, it is necessary to make the settings in the output menu.

If you go to output > line thickness > set any line thickness... menu item, you can set all the line thicknesses. The original dialog still refers to "printing" but applies to all outputs. I will get that updated.

You can set the printed background-shape line thickness to whatever you want. Because of scaling effects on a large track plan, it may be necessary to make a significant change to make a noticeable result on PDF and image files, for example setting the line thickness to 5mm or 10mm or 20mm.

The output line thickness settings are included if you save program preferences.

regards,

Martin.

Now found were to go and what to do, I don't think I would have ever thought about looking on the trackpad menu items

Thanks

Hi Geoff,

Maybe not, but see (boxed red). I will add a note somewhere on the sketchboard too:

I have now added this note for the sketchboard. It's not best placed, but there simply isn't room for it anywhere else, and redesigning the sketchboard control panel would be hours and hours of work.

One fine day I will get a manual written for the sketchboard, honest. :)

Yes That little note should help because when on the sketchboard their was nothing really to tell you
when I did the export to pdf in the sketchboard I was expecting that page like you get when doing the same thing from the trackpad, but you just get the "save file box" which got me thinking that I had missed something so cancelled and try again which confirmed it wasn't the same

I wouldn't worry about that instruction manual, there are loads of software that don't have instruction manuals supplied with them, and also don't have somebody to ask

I spent £1500 on a licence for some stock control software it did have a manual of sorts, but if you got stuck and had to ask, the answer was come to us and pay £400 per day, I did master it but it now sits gathering dust

The licence had to be renewed each year, by them sending you a floppy disc for free, fail to renew it, it stopped running
