Just a quick question, what's the platform clearance from the inside of the running rail on 00sf, 16.2mm gauge?  It's probably in the software somewhere but I'm getting round to pinning track tonight.
I'm building the track for the Folkestone Club's Alkham Valley layout which is being converted from EM to 00. The task would have been easier if somebody had done a tracing of the original trackwork as it's difficult getting Templot to fit round the exquisite scenery, and the chap who built it didn't quite leave enough clearances for the cess in most places!

Hi Roy,

57" (4ft-9in) = 19mm in 4mm/ft scale from the track centre-line to the platform edge.

Templot will draw it for you on the templates:

For 16.2mm gauge, subtract half of the track gauge:

00-SF: 19mm - 8.1mm = 10.9mm from the running edge of the rail.

For RTR models you might want to increase it a bit to allow for body-sway, axle end-float, etc.

And for any curving of course. You can change the setting in Templot, as shown.

cheers,

Martin.
