Over the years I've often noticed strange coincidences in the new member applications. For example, we haven't had a member request for several days. Then today I received 2 requests in the space of half an hour, both from a Brian. Anyway, welcome to Brian Smith and Brian Wilson. cheers, Martin. |

Martin, According to statistics published in the Sun newspaper ( which I don't usually read ) Brian is the 4th most common mans christian name. James ( Jimmy ? ) is the front runner - the ratio between these two is 1:4. Are you suggesting there are some odd behaviour patterns associated with a forum dealing with playing trains ? Rob |

Rob Manchester wrote: Martin,But are you looking at the right age group: http://www.medievalists.net/2011/04/william-agnes-among-the-most-common-names-in-medieval-england/ I wasn't suggesting anything other than the obvious fact that Brians are like buses -- none for ages and then several arrive at once. cheers, Martin. |
