Hi Martin, not a flaw as such, but is there any reason why when using track bed edges, it becomes more difficult to select a piece, or several pieces of track in a group?
Clicking on the piece of track often highlights the wrong piece when you have track bed edges in place. I find that you have to click on the actual track bed edge rather than the piece of track itself.
Without track bed edges, clicking on the piece of track to group is easy and works as you would expect it to. It's only once you add track bed edges, does it become more difficult, particularly with complex formations.

Is there a reason for this?

Apologies if I've asked this question before.....:D

Hi Gordon,

Thanks for reporting this. The problem is that the presence of trackbed edges (and even more so with platforms) extends the active area of a template, so in complex formations they are increasingly likely to overlap. Then when you click on them, Templot doesn't know which template you mean. I will do something about this.

In the meantime the solution is to use the template name labels instead:

1. put the name labels on, if not already (END key).

2. hold down the SHIFT key, or put the CAPS LOCK on.

3. select a template by clicking on its name label, instead of on the template.

4. if the labels are also overlapping, click on the top one, and on its popup menu click name labels > bat name label to bat its label out of the way. You can then click on the label below.

p.s. I think the problem with uploading images must be with your system, I can't find anything not working here (Firefox). Anyone else seeing a problem?

cheers,

Martin.
