Rob Manchester wrote: Hi Paul,
When you have a moment would you confirm the section dimensions of the Peco code 60 rail ? Foot width and head width are what I am after. I can figure out that it is 1.5mm tall
I tried the grooving tool modification you suggested a while back and it works a treat. Thanks for the tip.

Hi Rob
I'll paste in my rail sizes table below - it's actually a smidgen over 60thou! These measurements were taken with a good quality Mitutoyo vernier, and measured at several points. I'm glad you had success with the grooving tool.
Cheers,
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the rail dimensions. I see what you mean about not having to file any off the foot of the rail when creating checkrails etc - as long as you don't want them <0.5mm wide

Hi Rob
Conveniently, my flangeways are 0.5mm wide! I’m essentially using 2mm Scale Association track and wheel standards, with the gauge reduced to 7.83mm. Plus taller rail, of course!
As an aside, I seem to have got sucked into modelling in 2mm scale as well!
Cheers,
Paul
