Hi Martin,

Quick question on the information sheet printed with templates...in the section providing template location on pad, there is an entry for track centre-line radius at peg. For the currrent template I'm working on the following is provided: "n/a (peg off MS centre-line)". What's "MS" stand for?

Thanks...no rush for answer. When you have time.

Dave

Hi Dave,

MS stands for "Main Side". The main road through a turnout. The diverging route is called the turnout road, and that side of a turnout is the "Turnout Side", TS.

In your case, if the peg is not on the centre-line of the main road, the radius at the peg is not available in the info. This piece of info is only useful in the case of a transition curve template where the peg is within the transition zone (where the radius varies as you move the peg along).

regards,

Martin.
