Hi Martin I'm always wary about posting here, because usually the answer is "It already can....", but here goes Would it be possible (or is it already?) to change the order of bitmap background shapes so that, for instance, a small bitmap can be overlaid on top of a bigger one and be visible? At the moment, I think the order on the screen is the order in which they're loaded into the bgs file. Another side effect of this is that if the smaller bmp is hidden, it stays hidden and I can't see it to shift it or scale it or whatever! Cheers Paul |

Would it be possible (or is it already?) to change the order of bitmap background shapes.Sorry, there isn't any way to re-order background shapes once they are in the list. You have some control when adding them initially -- if there are already some shapes in the list, you can click the list to select the one below which you want the new shape to be inserted. I've moved it up in the wish list. Another side effect of this is that if the smaller bmp is hidden, it stays hidden and I can't see it to shift it or scale it or whatever! If you select a shape by clicking it in the list, it is highlighted in red on the pad*, and you can use the controls and mouse actions to move or adjust it even if it is behind another shape. Also the grid data for it is displayed below the list to help identify it. If it's behind a picture shape, you can make it visible by temporarily making the picture shape transparent. *for picture shapes the border becomes red when it is selected, so you need to have picture options > borders on pad ticked in order to see which picture shape is selected. (If you use the default maroon colour for shapes, the fact that they turn red when selected isn't very obvious. Try changing the shapes colour, or swapping to the "bright night" colour scheme while moving shapes about.) I'm going to look again at the whole background shapes function after the Sletchbook is implemented, because there will be some overlap of features and two different ways of working which is likely to be confusing. regards, Martin. |

Hi Martin Thanks for that - I did have picture borders turned off, which didn't help! Cheers |
